From April 18 to 20, the team led by Researcher Ge Xianping, Chief Scientist of the National Conventional Freshwater Fish Industry Technology System, 10 experts including Director Du Jun of Chengdu Integrated Test Station, Associate Researcher Gong Quan, and Director Quan Keyan of Deyang Integrated Test Station, etc, went to Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province to carry out research on the fishery industry development and provide scientific and technological assistance.

Chief Scientist Ge Xianping and other team members first went to Zhengyuan Aquatic Products Co., Ltd., Xide Aquatic Park and other places for the investigation, and communicated with the person in charge of the company and the aquatic park to have a deep understanding of the current situation and existing problems of local industrial development.

After that, the expert group came to Lvzhen Ecological Agricultural Science and Technology Demonstration Park in Puge County. The expert group inspected the rice-fish farming base and aquatic seed breeding workshop in the park, and conducted in-depth exchanges with operators and technicians on the planning and layout of the park, the treatment and recycling of aquaculture waste water, cultured species and product sales.

Afterwards, the expert group had a discussion with officials and relevant personnel of the cities and counties in Liangshan Prefecture who are in charge of fishery in the Bureau of agriculture and rural affairs. Focusing on the problems existing in the industrial development of the key assistance counties, the expert group discussed solutions and agreed that they would give full play to the advantages of the system, provide all-round technical support for industrial planning, park construction, talent training, introduction of new species, aquaculture technology, business management, etc. and do their best to revitalize the aquatic industry in Liangshan Prefecture, especially in key assistance counties.
