On August 1-5, the 2021 Provincial Training Course for Grass-roots Agricultural Technology Extension Talents in Jiangsu Province (Fishery) undertaken by FFRC, was held in Wuxi. Jiang Xuezhong, Chief of the Science and Technology Education Division of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and Bing Xuwen, Deputy Director of FFRC, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

Deputy Director Bing Xuwen extended a warm welcome to all the participants who participated in this training. He hoped that each participant would not only gain professional knowledge and business ability in the training, but also further strengthen the in-depth cooperation with FFRC to jointly create the new situation of high-quality development of fishery in Jiangsu and stimulate new vitality for the “New Land of Fish and Rice” in Jiangsu.

Chief Jiang Xuezhong put forward three requirements and expectations for the participants.

This training course covers the new technologies and new models of integrated rice-fish farming, rural revitalization and high-quality development of aquaculture seed industry, green nutrition regulation technology of intensive freshwater fish farming model, green ecological farming technology of river crabs, and historical resources and artificial breeding and protection research progress of olive clams and mussels, pond aquaculture water quality control and feeding technology management, freshwater shrimp “Taihu No. 3” green ecological aquaculture technology. At the same time, participants were arranged to go to relevant bases for on-site teaching, and conducted on-site discuss with experts on the industry development, production mode, quality management, brand building, etc.

The training course was attended by 249 grassroots agricultural extension personnel from 65 counties and districts in 13 prefecture-level cities in Jiangsu province.
